The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched—they must be felt with the heart.

I started my career as a Teacher of the Hearing Impaired in Richmond County Schools and then moved to St. Joseph Hospital to run their program for individuals with hearing loss. While working at St. Joseph Hospital I decided that I would love to become a Speech-Language Pathologist. They supported this decision and I enrolled in graduate school in 1994. I graduated with my Masters in Speech-Language Pathology in 1996 and served children and adults across multiple settings for 10 years before opening a pediatric private practice. My private practice was Therapeutic Interventions of Georgia and I also had an office in Lexington, SC for almost 2 years.
God put it on my heart to start a school and the mission changed. I worked for 3 years on the dream of this school by developing a business plan and learning about the operations of a school. I closed my private practice in 2019 and opened Apparo Academy. God has blessed Apparo and I am privileged to be His hands and feet here.
I sang opera for many years; ran over 20 marathons, including qualifying and running Boston.
