Kelly Edwards Powell

What a blessing it has been to be called to serve at Apparo Academy and to walk the journey of wellness with your child. I have been with Apparo Academy since its inception in 2019. I focus on self-care and preventative care. I have been a Pediatric Registered Nurse with Children’s Hospital of Georgia at Wellstar MCG Health for over 33 years. I have also been a camp nurse for various resident youth camps for 15+ years and the youth ministry nurse for many youth mission trips and retreats. I attained my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1992 from the Medical College of Georgia and my Master of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in Public Health in 2015 from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona. I am a member of the National Association of School Nurses and The Georgia Association of School Nurses.

I am a child of the Most High and the mother of four incredible adult children and a beautiful seven year old daughter that I have recently adopted. I was raised an Army brat and am proud of it. I achieved the Girl Scout Gold Award and the Nursing DAISY Award.
